Our theory, methods and practices used are based on the most modern evidence-based scientific approaches and more specifically on the principles of Humanistic and Positive Psychology, on the cooperative learning models, creative and critical thinking, multiple intelligences, and on character education based on values.

Our team

Our Team

The team of the Institute consists of a big network of full-time and part-time project managers, researchers, trainers, and administrative staff. For its educational and training activities, it collaborates with professionals with global expertise in their respective areas.

Vivky Charalambous

Managing director

Vicky Charalambous is a passionate learning designer with more than 20 years of experience in training, capacity building, project management and research. She holds PhD in Positive Organisational Psychology, a postgraduate degree in Organisational Psychology and BA in International and European Economic Studies.

Evie Michailidis

Evie Michailidis, PhD is an Organisational Psychologist practitioner and Visiting Lecturer in both Public and Private Universities in Cyprus. As an Organisational Psychologist practitioner, Evie works with private and public organizations in order to help them better understand issues and challenges faced, using social scientific research methods, and then designs and delivers solutions that improve employees’ working life and organisational performance.

Andri Agathokleous

Andri Agathokleous is an experienced researcher, trainer, and Licensed School Psychologist and a certified Systemic/ Family Psychotherapist. She has extensive experience in supporting families and schools through various roles. Key aspects of her expertise include her work with women and children survivors of domestic violence, parents’ education, teachers’ support and child counselling and training.

Maria Charalampous

Maria Charalampous is currently working at the Institute of Development as a Senior Researcher – Project Manager. She is a published academic, Lecturer and Researcher, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and Master’s and PhD in Occupational and Organizational Psychology. Maria’s research expertise in the areas of remote e-working, technology use and its relationship to wellbeing at work, as well as inclusivity at work for people with disability and neurodiversity.

Kiki Kallis

With academic studies in Psychology and Human Resource Management (BA in Psychology and Human Resources Management from Keele University and MA in Human Resources Management from the University of Leeds), Kiki is an expert trainer, researcher, and HR consultant with over 20 years of international expertise.

Stephanie Antoniou

Stephanie holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Nicosia, and she is currently completing her MSc in Clinical Psychology. A very active individual with 7 years volunteering experience as an assistant in a special school for disabled children, worked with patients with severe psychopathologies in a mental health institution and assisted in a clinical study for Nottingham University.

Charis Shiakallis

Charis is a professional with more than 10 years of experience in project management, research, training, events planning, and financial reporting for European and local projects. He holds a Bsc. in Psychology from the University of Nicosia and a BSc in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He is currently completing his Master’s degree studies in Counselling Psychology.
