Practical Guides

The “School of Happiness” is a practical guide for educators, inspired by the principles of Positive Psychology and Character Education through the cultivation of core life values. It aims to enhance students’ wellbeing, moral growth, and socio-emotional development — recognizing that happiness and learning go hand in hand. Drawing on the PERMA model by Martin Seligman and the Values in Action (VIA) framework, this guide offers hands-on activities and teaching methods that nurture resilience, empathy, and a positive school climate. Designed primarily for primary school students aged 8–12, it can also be adapted for different age groups and contexts. Developed by the Institute of Development, this publication builds on more than 20 years of research and practice in wellbeing education. (The guide is in Greek)
