Resilient Preschools Project Recognised at the 2025 European Innovative Teaching Awards

We are proud to announce that the Resilient Preschools project has been selected as one of five EU-funded projects from Cyprus to be awarded and showcased at the 2025 European Innovative Teaching Awards, organised by the European Commission.

Coordinated by the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute, the project was recognised for its innovative approach to early childhood education, grounded in the principles of Positive Psychology. It promotes resilience, well-being, and the emotional development of young children.

RESILIENT PRESCHOOLS empowers preschool teachers to nurture children’s social and emotional skills through positive psychology, equipping them to navigate a world full of change and uncertainty. The project developed evidence-based tools and training that support educators in creating positive, supportive learning environments and proactively addressing mental health challenges.

The Institute of Development Cyprus (IoD) had the honour of contributing to this important initiative as part of a consortium of six organisations from Cyprus, Greece, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Portugal. Together, we worked to equip educators with effective tools to foster resilience and well-being in children’s daily learning experiences.

This award is an important recognition of the project’s impact, as well as the dedication and vision of all its partners.

The winners will share their best practices at the European Innovative Teaching Award 2025 Ceremony, which will take place on 8–9 December 2025 in Brussels and online. Their work will also be showcased on the award’s website, Erasmus+ social media channels, the European Education Area portal, and the European School Education platform.
